On behalf of the St. Bernard Project and the clients we serve, we thank you for your generous contribution. With support from donors like you, SBP has rebuilt the homes of nearly 500 families in New Orleans, and another 15-20 homes are under construction.
While we are proud of these accomplishments, much work remains. Nearly eight years after Hurricane Katrina, there are still thousands of families who own homes they cannot afford to rebuild. With your help we can get these families home.
We have a large cadre of caring and committed people around the country who are making a significant impact and we are grateful that you are part of this dedicated group of supporters. Thank you again for your commitment and partnership. Your support and energy drives us each and every day as we continue to rebuild and bring people home.

SBP’s first affiliate is Rebuild Joplin, located in Joplin, Missouri. On May 22, 2011, a multi-vortex EF-5 tornado ripped a 13-mile path of destruction through Joplin and its neighboring communities. The devastation left behind was tremendous, damaging 9,000 homes and taking 162 lives. Rebuild Joplin has rebuilt 100 houses to date.
Superstorm Sandy Recovery
SBP is sharing its model with communities impacted by Superstorm Sandy; so far we’re working on Long Island, Staten Island and in the Rockaways. In each community, SBP has partnered with a local organization – We Build New York, Friends of Rockaway and Steven Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation – to bring SBP’s proven-effective model of post-disaster recovery to Sandy-impacted residents. In each community, SBP uses our proven-efficient model to institute best-practices driven volunteer-based residential reconstruction.
