house, March 3:
Phillip and Shelly have been through a lot since Katrina, and even before. A few years prior, Phillip had a stroke, limiting
the use of the left side of his body. He had planned on rebuilding the house himself, but there is only so much one can do
in that position. A major turning point in this family's story came this past June, when Shelly had a heart attack. She
was in a coma for 23 days, and the whole ordeal sent a shock through the family.
While the house
is being rebuilt, the family, which includes their young son and daughter, is staying in Shreveport with relatives. They can't
wait to move in! Everytime the kids visit the house under construction, they know exactly where their rooms will be, and can
envision a grand outcome for the house.
