Optimistic. Positive. Seeing that the glass is in fact half full, not empty. People like this are hard to
find; however, it’s nice to know that they do exist. This is proven through a certain individual, Robert (Bobby) DeShazo.
He makes the decision every day to take Katrina as a blessing. Times were tough even before the storm. Fifty-year old
Bobby worked as a painter and sheet rock hanger until his dire need of a hip replacement. Even though it was horrible seeing
the devastation of the hurricane and having to travel from place to place, Bobby is thankful that he was finally able to pay
off his house. He is in love with St. Bernard Project for the help they give and is thrilled to be able to have a home
where his two daughters are welcome anytime.
