SBP rebuilds for families who continue to face insurmountable barriers to rebuilding six years after the storm. Whether it’s cost, contractor fraud, disability, or any number of other obstacles, SBP is committed to helping restore the hard-working, tight-knit communities across Greater New Orleans.
Our homeowners are our purpose, motivation and reason for existing. Their incredible strength and resilience, despite unthinkable devastation, is something we learn from every day. Their stories are heart-wrenching and inspirational tales of love, loss and enduring hope.
We’ve made progress since 2006, but the need is still incredible. About 130 families remain on our waiting list, and up to 10,000 families still cannot afford to rebuild the homes they own.
