Description/Cost: Camp Hope is a school that has been converted into volunteer housing and includes three meals for $25 per person, per night.
Beginning June 13, 2010, Camp Hope will temporarily accommodate only those workers dedicated to the Gulf Coast cleanup. During this period, Camp Hope will be working to redirect volunteers that apply for housing to other housing options. To read more about this development, click here.

Description/cost: Peace Mission Center is a volunteer-housing facility which has hosted over 5,000 volunteers since Katrina. We have a staff of 5 peoplle who maintain the facilities and cook on Monday thru Friday. We have the capacity to house approximately 100 people. We have both bunk beds and air-mattresses, fresh linens & towels and washclothes are provided for each volunteer. We provide a continental-style breakfast, a bagged lunch to take to your worksite, and a piping hot dinner served at 6pm Monday thru Friday. We have a total of 6 bathrooms, 12 shower stalls, and laundry facilities available on the campus. The rate is $25/day/person Monday - Friday, and $15/day/person on Saturdays & Sundays. Sorry, but we do not provide meals on Saturdays & Sundays. We also have 8 campsites available for anyone who wishes to bring their own RV or travel trailer with hook-ups for 30 & 50 Amp electrical, sewage, & water.
