Master Electrician (Certified)
Reports To: Director of Construction
Department: Construction
Category: Full-time
The electrician works under the director of construction and is responsible for the proper installation of assigned tasks and/or scope of work.
Responsibilities
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Maintaining current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Supporting Construction Managers and Site Supervisors to ensure jobsite safety and security.
- Certified to file in Orleans and St. Bernard Parishes.
Qualifications
- Skilled electrician with 3-5 years experience.
- May have additional experience in a particular scope of work or product type.
- Licensed master electrician.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of St. Bernard and Orleans Parishes' codes and construction safety requirements.
Project Manager (Construction)
Position: Project Manager
Department: Construction
Reports to: Director of Construction
As Project Manager with SBP, your contributions to this effort will be to manage the construction, superintendents and communication with the homeowner within your designated geographic region. The Project Managers will directly supervise a team of superintendents with limited construction experience to ensure quality control and safety on their assigned rebuild or build sites, completion of construction in accordance with the scope of work and in the scheduled time frame, and effective on site volunteer management and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Five years project management experience.
- Ability to communicate and lead novice superintendents.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while representing St. Bernard Project to homeowners and volunteers.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Organizational skills.

Construction Team for the Rebuilding Program
Site Superintendents-are responsible for providing on the ground support at a clients homes for all aspects of the rebuilding project including managing/requesting tools and materials, insuring progress and high quality construction work, organizing and maintaining safety and interacting with the clients.
Construction Coordinators coordinates speciality work and permitting.
Supply Coordinator schedules the delivery of materials, supplies and tools to the appropriate work sites.
Supply Runners delivers materials, supplies and tools to the schedule work sites.
Warehouse Coordinators maintains inventory on warehouse, vehicles, supplies, materials and tools.
Specialty Crew Members are assigned to work on either cabinets and countertops, framing, electric, or plumbing)
Volunteer Team for the Rebuilding Program
The volunteer team serves as the main point of of contact for incoming volunteers and establishes relationships that inspire volunteers to spread the word, return to volunteer and/or donate back to St. Bernard Project.

Client Services Team for the Rebuilding and Good Work Good Pay Program
Client Service Coordinators are the main point of contact for individuals and families applying to have their homes rebuilt by St. Bernard Project. These team members walk applicants through the process, determine eligibility for government grants that the organization has been awarded and serve as a listening ear for those working through the process of recovery.

The development team is responsible for raising funds and awareness about St. Bernard Project to support its mission. Development team members will write grants, plan specialty weeks and events, recruit corporate partnerships, write the newsletter and more. Please see the specific roles below.
