Women's Rebuild Week is May 24-29!

More than 250 women leaders will take part in the St. Bernard Project’s (SBP) Women’s Rebuild to rebuild homes and lives in New Orleans that were damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The event draws volunteers from across the country, as well as strong female role models, including Actress Anna Lynne McCord and Ambassador of Liechtenstein Claudia Fritsche.

Women’s Rebuild provides women leaders an opportunity to help and inspire women impacted by Hurricane Katrina. In partnership with the Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) of the United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area, volunteers will rebuild 20 homes in the Greater New Orleans area. Beginning Monday, May 24 at 8:30 a.m., the volunteers will participate in all phases of the rebuilding process including hanging insulation and drywall, painting, flooring and installing doors and windows.

If you would like to volunteer for Women’s Rebuild, register in our online system. Our next Women's Rebuild weeks are May 24-29, 2010 and October 11-16, 2010. For any volunteering questions, email
